SERVICE LEARNING

Learning through Civic Engagement – Service Learning is a form of teaching and learning that combines social engagement of students with learning. As part of their school and classroom work, students support social, ecological, cultural and political issues. Their work is planned in the classroom and the experience they gain while they are working for other people and society is reflected on and linked to the educational plans and curricula. The Freudenberg Foundation has made Learning through Civic Engagement a well-known method for changing teaching methods and promoting social engagement. more
