DEMOCRATIC CULTURE IN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES

The promotion of democratic attitudes and conduct in schools and communities has been a program area of the Freudenberg Foundation since 2003. On the one hand, this concerns strategies for responding to threats to democratic culture such as, for example, right-wing extremism or religious extremism. On the other hand, this focuses on learning democratic culture in kindergarten, school and the community.

The foundation supports and encourages initiatives that strive to strengthen democracy as a form of life and society as well as help develop the skills needed for this.
