The Freudenberg Foundation has been promoting the reintegration of mentally ill persons in the labor market since 1985. At the beginning, the foundation's aim was the establishment of integrative companies and it provided consulting services in this respect. At the present time, the foundation is promoting model examples of jobs where mentally ill people can earn additional income. It is still difficult for mentally ill people, who cannot work full-time regularly because of their illness, to find flexible and, at the same time, qualified part-time or even hourly jobs in or outside integrative companies, which would enable them to earn additional income. Apart from all this, a prize is awarded for trend-setting business ideas and company organization models every year.
