Within the scope of the program of the Federal Ministry of Education „Learning All Day“, „All-Day Schools with Diversity“ are striving to use the cultural diversity of the students productively as part of the school's program, to improve the language skills of children growing up with several languages, to increase the cooperation between schools and parents, to support the transition of kindergarten children to elementary school and to promote the cooperation between schools and immigrant organizations. The idea for a discussion forum about integration was put forward as part of the all-day school program being supported by the German Children and Youth Foundation. The concept was initiated by the Federal Working Group of the Regional Centers (RAA): RAA Berlin, for example, developed model approaches and a network of cooperation with immigrant organizations.
