Foundation for Learning through Civic Engagement
Service-learning – learning through civic engagement is a teaching and learning method that combines cognitive learning with community service. Students participate in their community (“service”) while addressing real needs and applying their theoretical knowledge (“learning”).

In its "Digital Awareness" project, the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society Jena (IDZ) monitors German-language debates with a broad political impact in digital space. It uses the results to strengthen civil-societal organizations campaigning for diversity, equality and the rule of law.
